The theme for the 2025 summer reading program is Color our World! This summer, we invite people of all ages to embark on a thrilling journey filled with books, activities, and events designed to inspire a love of reading and exploration.

Join us for our NOPL’s Summer Reading Program from June 30th to August 14th. Everyone who signs up for this year’s Summer Reading Program and logs what they read is eligible to win prizes. You can sign up and attend events at any NOPL branch throughout the summer! Signup below beginning June 30, 2025.
Save the dates for our three highlight events too! You can attend any and all events, regardless of your “home” branch!
SUMMER READING KICKOFF

NOPL North Syracuse
Welcome to the NOPL kickoff party for this year’s summer reading program! Start your summer by decorating your own library-provided tote bag (while supplies last). This bag is perfect for carrying all the books you’ll read this summer. While you’re at the library, sign up for summer reading and learn all about the amazing programs that will be at all three NOPLs!
HENNA CELEBRATION with SK Henna
Wednesday, July 23, 4-5pm
NOPL Cicero
Celebrate the summer reading program with henna tattoos done by SK Henna along with lots of fun and food!
Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Cicero library.
END OF SUMMER READING PARTY with Doug the Bubble Man
Thursday, August 14, 11am-1pm
NOPL Brewerton
You’ve read so many awesome books this summer — now it’s time to party!
Come join the fun with Doug the Bubble Man. He’ll amaze you with super cool bubble tricks such as huge bubbles, bubble towers, even bubbles inside bubbles! It’s going to be bubble-tastic!
After the show, we’ll celebrate YOU and all your reading with some yummy, sweet treats.
ADULT SUMMER READING
Did you know there’s a NOPL Summer Reading Program for adults? You earn points to enter raffles for great prizes by reading/listening to books, writing reviews, attending NOPL programs, completing BINGO cards, and more. You can sign up at the Summer Reading kickoff at NOPL North Syracuse, 2-4pm on Monday, June 30, or click the Signup/Login button below for more details. You can sign up online or in person anytime this summer, starting June 30.

Win Prizes
Each week log the books you’ve read and you’ll automatically be entered in a drawing for prizes. Winners can arrange to pick up their prizes by calling the library or stopping at their registered branch.
