Adult Services Librarian Sue Hansen curated a collection of Native American books in connection with the presentation of Significance of the Strawberry Cushion, a beading workshop led by Akwesasne artist Wilma Zumpano set for June 9 at NOPL Cicero. The project connects local artists and crafters to unpack the meaning of the fabric, beads, and belt-making in history, culture, and storytelling. (Registration space is limited.)
Some of these titles, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, memoirs, and local interest genres, are available at a display at the front desk at NOPL Cicero. All books can be borrowed through the OCPL catalog. Just click the link to borrow or place a title on hold.
