Kara is the Marketing & Communications Specialist for NOPL. Her background is in nonprofit program management, marketing, fundraising, and administration. Kara was also a Librarian Assistant for the Local History and Genealogy Department at OCPL's Central Library. She is constantly reading and loves all kinds of movies, music, and quirky Netflix & Apple series. Her avocation is acting, including performing with a regional mystery theater/interactive comedy troupe.

The NOPL Staff Association is holding a donation drive for HumaneCNY during the month of June at each NOPL location. Stop by during regular library hours to donate items to help the animals being cared for at the local shelter.

NOPL Brewerton Awarded Funds for Renovation

NOPL Brewerton is one of the awardees in Round 2 funding of the New York Forward statewide economic development program. The award will support the creation of a visitor center at the library, in addition to a new public meeting room, outdoor seating areas, a small café space, and an additional accessible restroom. Work on the library renovation is expected to begin in late 2025.
