Enjoy play-centered, child-led activities in the park each week! Community Playdate will be held Thursdays, July 11 – August 22, 2019, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Clay Central Park (map below).
The library will provide materials to spark your child’s imagination. At the end of each event, kids will create a Play Story, drawing or writing about their play for that day. Come prepared to get your clothes messy, don’t forget a water bottle, and feel free to bring a picnic dinner.
Events will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the program may be postponed or canceled and a notice will be placed on our homepage, nopl.org.
This event is created in partnership with the Town of Clay Department of Recreation and AnjiPlay World and funded in part in part by the Friends of the Cicero Library.
Anji Play is an early childhood curriculum developed by educator Cheng Xueqin and used in 130 public kindergartens in Anji County, China. It employs minimally structured, open-ended materials and environments that allow children to explore, imagine, create, develop teamwork and learn to take risks, organizers said.
