Food For FinesFebruary 14-29, 2016

Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) is excited to announce the return of our popular “Food for Fines” program. From February 14-29 we will waive $1 of overdue fines on your NOPL card (up to $10 per card) for each nonperishable item brought to the library, including pet food, baby food and diapers. Please do not bring anything homemade, expired or dented. Donations can be brought to any NOPL location for fine forgiveness!  If you have any questions please call your local NOPL branch.

Items accepted: coffee, tea, juice, canned or dried fruits, pudding mixes, canned vegetables, soups and stews, cake, brownie or muffin mixes, canned meats, hash, chili, crackers, pork and beans, tuna, pasta, rice, grains, cereals and oatmeal, dried beans/legumes, chips, pretzels, popcorn, macaroni & cheese, pop-tarts, granola bars, peanut butter, jelly/jam, canned & dry soups, rice and rice dishes, pancake mix and syrup, pet food, diapers, baby food, and toiletries such as shampoo, deodorant or toothpaste.

Restrictions: No fresh or perishable food, glass containers, expired, damaged, dented, rusted or opened items.

**Only NOPL overdue fines will be waived, not charges for lost or damaged materials**
