Various types of banners and flags represented the units and battles of the American Revolution. These forms of identification reflected the diverse groups who fought for Independence. Those “pieces of fabric” would help lead to the fight for Liberty that we still desire for our citizens today.
May’s lecture will feature Daniel S. Schroth as the speaker. Mr. Schroth is a local military historian who is an authority on the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. This lecture promises to be a colorful and insightful presentation on the historical roots of our nations flags.
