Mobile Printing Arrives at NOPL

There was a time when if you needed to print something at the library, you would have to save your file to a flash drive (or floppy disk if you go back a few more years), and open the file on a library computer to print it.

With the new MobilePrint service available at the Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) those days are gone. The service is cloud based, allowing you to print from various devices at home, on the go, or inside the library.

To get started, scroll to the bottom of any page on the nopl.org site and click on the “mobile printing” button, which will open the Mobile Printing page. There you’ll find easy to follow instructions for printing from various devices and links for downloading the MobilePrint app from the iOS or Android app store.

All you will need to collect your print job at the library is your email address and some pocket change: printing is 10 cents per black and white page. Print jobs can be picked up at your chosen NOPL location during regular library hours on the same calendar day they were printed; files are cleared out at the end of each day.

The MobilePrint service comes at a time when more users than ever are taking advantage of digital services through the library. Whether you need to print a resume, boarding pass, Microsoft Office document or other file, we hope you’ll agree: it’s one more reason to love the library! Visit nopl.org to try out this convenient new service and discover how easy it is to use mobile printing.
